Creative strategy for Social Media, Visual and Motion Design for Social Media

Our approach to the social media design aesthetic for Objectry's Instagram profile is a visual translation of the brand’s core design philosophy: celebrating the simplicity of design through clean lines and geometric experimentation with natural materials. The aesthetic is best described as minimalist, architecturally aesthetic, and material-focused. This reflects the brand's ethos that is "conservative yet experimental.
What we focus on:
Form and Geometry: The content heavily features the products, which are characterised by clean lines, crisp curves, and fundamental geometric shapes (balls, cones, squares, facets). The photographs treat these objects almost like modern sculptures, highlighting their form.
Materiality and Texture: The design priorities the natural beauty of the materials, such as wood, brass, concrete, and ceramic. The social media presentation uses lighting and composition to emphasise the texture and finish of these materials, aligning with the brand's belief that a material should "lend itself to the design."
Composition and Tone: The posts are typically shot against uncluttered, neutral backgrounds (white, light grey, or natural wood) to ensure the object is the sole focus, lending a serious and sophisticated tone to the feed. This clean presentation reinforces the utilitarian yet distinctive nature of the objects.
Serious Yet Experimental: The "serious" aspect is maintained through the high-quality photography and uncluttered layouts. The "experimental" nature is showcased by the close-ups and unique arrangements that display how they've pushed a material or form—such as an "Uneven Base" or an "Outline Bar Stool"—into a new, intriguing design.
For Objectry, we utilise multiple digital mediums to communicate its aesthetic and product details. From Static photography, stop motion, long form video content to short form reels, form hand-drawn illustrations to text based engaging conversations - DDD ensures to capture attention with the ever-evolving social media eco-systyem.
Storytelling, explaining the design inspiration, material facts, and product functionality, fulfilling the "serious yet experimental" communication style is what we practice while working on the brand’s content strategy.
